How did we help the ARA?
The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is the nation’s oldest and largest retail body, representing a $420 billion sector and over 1.4 million workers. It supports more than 120,000 retail fronts and online stores through advocacy, education, and community unification.
nimbl was engaged by ARA to help build their organic presence, with a particular focus on growing their search market share in relation to their competitors.

The team was eager to tackle this project because, despite the site’s high authority, it’s SEO potential had barely been tapped into.
Competitive Analysis
We took a deep dive into the top performer in the retail space and identified keyword and content gaps that we could pursue in an SEO campaign, but most importantly, made sense for the ARA as a business.
Search Engine Optimisation
Utilising this analysis, we outlined a keyword mapping and site architecture strategy which identified which existing content assets we could optimise, and what new content needed to be created. After site optimisation work, we leveraged from the ARA's brand awareness to deploy a link outreach campaign to high authority sites.
Customised Reporting
On top of our regular SEO reporting, our team customised further metrics which were helpful for the team such as insights into membership sales, database signups and gated content engagement. We also constructed specific reporting around competitors, so that management could closely monitor how we were performing in comparison.
